Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced this morning that EarthBound, the cult-classic role-playing-game for the Super Nintendo (SNES), will be made available for purchase on the Virtual Console on the WiiU later in 2013! This comes after years of unfulfilled rumors that the game, one of the most expensive and sought-after video game cartridges that exist for the Super Nintendo, would be made available to North American audiences for digital download.
